We Need You to be Involved with Main Street Mount Joy!

There are so many ways to volunteer for Main Street Mount Joy. MSMJ wants to know what interests you?

___ I'm a hands-on person.  Give me a job and I'll do it. 

Volunteer Positions Include:

• Putting out & taking down Fourth Friday Flags on Fourth Fridays
• Watering Main Street Flower Planters
• Green Thumbs - Planting the Flower Planters Seasonally
• Hanging the Banners & Stars during the Holidays
• Helping as the Handiman, fixings broken things, making things, solution creator, etc.

___ I'm a planner.  I appreciate the behind the scenes coordination of an event or program.

Volunteer Positions Include:

• Serve on a Committee, typically meet monthly

           Who Serves on each committee?  Likely candidates are:

           Design Committee - architects, history buffs, real estate agents, interior

                                             designers, contractors, artists, planners

           Economic Restructuring Committee - merchants, property owners, realtors,

                                             mortgage bankers, consumers, marketing professionals,

                                             developers, brokers, business students

           Promotions Committee - downtown merchants, chamber of commerce members,

                                             civic groups involved with the arts, marketing & advertising

                                             professionals, staff of tourism offices, reporters, graphic

                                             designers & artists

          Organization Committee - accountants, media representatives, community

                                             partners, volunteer coordinators, fundraisers

• Serve on a Sub-Committee to plan a particular Community Event:

          Events, such as: Golf Outing, Taste of Mount Joy, Crab Fest, Music in the Park,

          Howl-o-ween Pet Costume Parade, Winterfest, Fourth Fridays, Fire & Ice
